BLACK SUMMER 〰️

A Legacy of Impact

Black Summer: FUBU marked the official launch of my journey as a creative director, serving as my first large-scale independent production and a statement of my commitment to Black artistry, collaboration, and visual storytelling.

As the sole coordinator and investor, I curated every detail of this ambitious one-day production, ensuring that every creative involved had the space, resources, and structure to bring their talent to life.

This project was more than just a photoshoot – it was a statement of creative independence, community collaboration, and the future of NR Productions, LLC. It set the tone for how I approach production: with intention, inclusivity, and a deep commitment to the artists I work with.

Black Summer: FUBU wasn’t just about the final visuals – it was about creating an experience where creatives felt valued, inspired, and part of something greater.

This project was designed to celebrate Black creativity, culture, and self-expression, embodying the spirit of FUBU – “For Us, By Us.”

To bring this vision to life, I partnered with studio owner and videographer, Kevin De Miranda, who provided a home base for the production at De Miranda Productions, as well as a cinematic recap of the day.
